I started this work because no one was offering it to women like me.

Women who give everything … to their students, their families, their jobs, their communities … and have nothing left to give themselves. WOmen who were told to practice self-care, as if a bath could begin to touch what years of dysregulation had built up in their bodies. Women who were smart enough to know something was wrong and still couldn’t find their way out of it.

I was one of them.

I’ve spent over 17 years as a high school English teacher. I moved my body constantly, tracked every morsel of food that entered my body, and ran on sheer will and routine. From the outside, I was doing everything right. Inside, I was running on fumes, and eventually, my body stopped cooperating altogether.

What followed wasn’t a clean healing arc. It was more of an unraveling. And then, slowly, a rebuilding on entirely different terms.

Why the nervous system? Why now?

Here’s something that still floors me: rigorous research on the female body didn’t begin until the early 1990s. For most of modern medicine and psychology, the male body was the default. Everything else, including the cyclical, relationally, homonally complex female nervous system, was extrapolated from data that was never about us.

That gap isn’t a footnote. But it is the reason many women are handed protocols that dont work for their bodies, told to “manage stress better” without being taught how, and left to figure out their rythms entirely alone.

My work is built on closing that gap, drawing on the revolutionary teachings of Veronica Rottman of Waking Womb and her approach to somatic healing for the female nervous system, alongside my training through the International Association of Wellness Professionals (IAWP). The IAWP holds ICF accreditation and is further accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) and the Canadian Health Coach Alliance because the standard of care you deserve requires a standard of training to match.

I didn’t come to this work looking for a career pivot. I ended up here because I needed it and it didn’t exist in the form I needed it. So I built it.

What you should know about me

I hold a Master’s Degree in English and spent nearly two decades in public education. That background matters more than it might seem. Deep listening, meeting someone exactly where they are, and translating complex ideas into language that lands are all skills I’ve been practicing for a long time.

I’m also a real person who still teaches high school, reads any fiction I can get my hands on, experiments in the kitchen, and watches everything with subtitles on. I believe in the intelligence of the body, the wisdom of listening, and the radical act of a woman deciding her own rhythms matter.

The women I work with are not and were not ever broken. They are brilliant, perceptive, and exhausted by systems, professional, cultural, and medical, that were never designed with them in mind.

This work exists because you deserve something that was.
